This is an example of good poetry because:

This song has a deep meaning, as it talks about the stages of life. It talks about the "family of trees,"waiting for the next generation, which I believe finally comes when "a baby is born."

I also believe the song is kind of a electronic, hipster environmental message telling us to "control ourselves, take only what we need (from the earth)." It also poetically describes water pollution, "the water is warm, but its giving me shivers."

The song also has a rhyming pattern throughout.
"The water is warm
But it's sending me shivers
A baby is born."
."-- warm and born rhyme.

MGMT Kids lyrics

You were a child,
crawlin' on your knees toward it.
Makin' mama so proud,
but your voice was too loud.

We like to watch you laughing.
You pick the insects off plants.
No time to think of consequences.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

The water is warm,
but its sending me shivers.
A baby is born,
crying out for attention.
Memories fade,
like looking through a fogged mirror
Decisions to decisions are made and not fought
But I thought,
this wouldn't hurt a lot.
I guess not.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

Control yourself.
Take only what you need from it.
A family of trees wantin',
To be haunted.

Banksy

1. I really admire the artwork of Bansky because it is rebellious and puts out his message on big issues. For the most part I agree with them although I don't quite understand all of them. I can tell he is making statements about political decisions and things he is against like the wall dividing Israel and Palestine.
2. I think graffiti is art. It is a learned skill with which people can express themselves. It's complex pop arty paintings, they're just not located on paper. I also think tagging a building is sort of art. It's not art if someone is just writing their name on to mark their "turf," but if it is something like what Banksy does then it is art. I think they use alternate names to help create a persona that is different from who they really are, to aid in the messages they try to get across. In Banksy's case it could also be to avoid legal trouble.
3. If you have a strong message to get across to the public that you feel is very important to get across and you don't have any other means of getting it across then you should do it, otherwise I would tend to stay away from marking public property.
